Biography

Dr Mathew McCauley is Assistant Professor of Clinical Psychology at TCD. He is also a Consultant Military Clinical Psychologist and a Medical Corps Officer in the Army Reserve. Mathew currently serves as a Principal Researcher in Trinity's Centre for Psychological Health and is Founder of TCD's Military Health Research Group. Following his doctoral training in the NHS and at the UK's Royal Centre for Defence Medicine, he spent six years with the US Department of Defense. He has also served with the UK Ministry of Defence for six years and currently operates an international private psychological health consultancy. Mathew teaches doctoral students on TCD's clinical psychology programme, along with supervising post-graduate research and publishing in the areas of military psychology, clinical health psychology, psychotherapy, and qualitative research.
